🐾 The Pawtery — Terms & Conditions 🐾

Welcome to The Pawtery! We want our studio to be a fun, creative and welcoming space for everyone. By booking a class or workshop with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking & Payment
Your place in a class or workshop is confirmed only once full payment has been received.
Places are allocated on a first come, first saved basis. A place cannot be held or considered confirmed until payment has been completed.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations or requests to reschedule are accepted up to 7 days (168 hours) before the scheduled class or workshop.

Where the required notice is provided, you may choose to:
* receive a refund, or
* transfer your booking to another available class or workshop.

Requests made less than 7 days (168 hours) before the scheduled session are considered late cancellations and are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible.

3. Late Cancellations & No-Shows
If you do not attend your scheduled class or workshop without providing the required notice, your booking will be considered a no-show and the payment will be forfeited.
We are unable to offer refunds, credits or make-up sessions for missed classes or workshops due to late cancellation or non-attendance.

 4. Late Arrival
Please arrive on time for your scheduled class or workshop. Our sessions follow a set structure, and late arrivals may result in reduced making time or missed demonstrations.
We may not be able to extend the session or repeat demonstrations for participants who arrive late.
If a participant arrives significantly late, The Pawtery reserves the right to determine whether they can safely and appropriately join the session.

5. Children's Classes & Workshops
* Children must be **independent with toileting** and able to use the toilet by themselves. Our instructors are unable to assist children with toileting.
* **Food and snacks are not permitted during class**, except where specifically agreed in advance for a medical or dietary requirement. This helps minimise disruption and allows the class to run smoothly.
* Please ensure your child has eaten beforehand and is ready to participate for the duration of the session.
* Parents or guardians are responsible for providing accurate information about their child and informing The Pawtery in advance of any relevant medical, behavioural, learning or additional support needs.
* Children must be collected promptly at the end of their session. The Pawtery cannot take responsibility for children once the scheduled session has ended.

Behaviour & Participation
We want The Pawtery to be a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards instructors, other participants, the studio and its equipment.
If a child's behaviour is repeatedly disruptive or unsafe, we may ask their parent or guardian to collect them. In such circumstances, the session will not be refunded.

6. Illness
For the wellbeing of our students and instructors, please do not attend if you are unwell or experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness.
If your child is unwell, please keep them home and contact us as soon as possible.
Our standard 7-day / 168-hour cancellation policy applies to cancellations due to illness, unless The Pawtery agrees otherwise at its discretion.

7. Studio Safety & Conduct
Participants must follow all safety instructions and guidance provided by The Pawtery's instructors.
Tools, equipment, clay, glazes and other studio materials must be used responsibly and only as instructed.
The Pawtery reserves the right to ask a participant to leave the studio if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate. In such circumstances, no refund or rescheduling will be offered.

8. Finished Pieces & Firing
Pottery is a natural and unpredictable process. Every piece is handmade and unique, and the final result may differ from what was originally expected.
Despite our best efforts to handle your work with care, pieces may crack, warp, break or otherwise change during drying, glazing or firing. Occasionally, a piece may not survive the firing process at all.
The Pawtery cannot guarantee the successful completion or firing of every piece, and refunds or replacements will not be provided for work that is damaged or lost as part of the normal ceramic process.

9. Collection of Finished Pieces
Once your finished pieces are ready for collection, The Pawtery will notify you.
Finished pieces should be collected within 1 month of notification.
Unfortunately, pieces that are not collected within this period may be discarded, donated or otherwise disposed of, and The Pawtery will not be responsible for replacing them.

10. Personal Belongings
Please take care of your personal belongings while visiting the studio.
The Pawtery is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings brought into the studio.
We recommend leaving valuable or unnecessary items at home.

11. Cancellation or Rescheduling by The Pawtery
In the unlikely event that The Pawtery needs to cancel or reschedule a class or workshop, participants will be offered the option to:
* transfer their booking to another suitable date, or
* receive a full refund.

The Pawtery will not be responsible for any additional costs or expenses incurred as a result of a cancelled or rescheduled session.

12. Photography & Social Media
From time to time, The Pawtery may take photographs of finished pieces and creations for promotional purposes, including on our social media channels and website. We do not photograph children or participants. If you do not wish your work to be featured, please let us know before the session begins.

13. Liability
Participants must take reasonable care of themselves, others and the studio while attending The Pawtery.
By attending a class or workshop, participants agree to follow all safety instructions provided by The Pawtery and its instructors.
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that children attending the studio are suitable to participate in the activity and that The Pawtery has been informed of any relevant needs or conditions that may affect their participation.

14. Acceptance of Terms
By completing payment for a class or workshop, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
The Pawtery reserves the right to make reasonable amendments to these Terms & Conditions when necessary. Any significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
